The Electrical Product Engineering team at the company focuses on designing and developing resilient, cost-effective electrical distribution products and systems. Responsibilities include achieving world-class uptime for customers, justifying and communicating technical decisions to senior management, and driving continuous advancements in designs. The ideal candidate will have an Electrical Engineering background with hands-on experience in new product design and development of electrical power distribution equipment such as Low Voltage Switchgear and Power Distribution Cabinets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting Data Center Design Engineering and Hardware Engineering teams in developing innovative power distribution products.
- Leading product design and development based on customer input and internal team collaboration.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and municipal building codes across different countries.
- Preparing and reviewing product designs and technical documentation including electrical bills of materials and construction drawings.
- Working with global suppliers to specify appropriate electrical equipment.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineering or Architectural License.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
- Experience in carrying design concepts into deployment or mass production.
