We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in developing cutting-edge platforms that enable seamless and scalable transactions. You will utilize your expertise in payment, shopping, and banking systems to design, develop, and optimize our secure software infrastructure, creating unique experiences for our users.
You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, analysts, and product experts to leverage system design, create technical solutions, and address complex challenges, ultimately revolutionizing how millions of users shop, pay, and bank.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across the company’s engineering teams.
- Debug production issues across diverse services and stack levels.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop features that enhance various parts of the system.
- Work closely with business, product, and operations teams to identify and resolve user pain points.
Expertise Required
- 6+ years of software development experience.
- Strong background in building scalable products and services.
- Good understanding of SOLID principles and Design Patterns.
- Knowledge of AWS, OCI, and Kubernetes/Docker.
- Experience with distributed systems and messaging tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of Javascript, Vue.js, HTML, and CSS is a plus.
- Proactive, goal-oriented, and self-structured in your approach.
- Experience as a developer in a startup environment is a plus.
- Team player, creative thinker, and passionate about exploring new technologies.
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
