Senior Product Engineer

Virtusa is seeking a Senior Product Engineer for the Finacle Core Banking product. The ideal candidate will possess a postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of product experience with the Finacle Core Banking product (Infosys/Edgeverve) and experience with Finacle 11, customization architecture, and handling interfacing requirements.

Work Conditions: Hybrid, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on the Finacle customization flow, including new custom menus, report development (MRT & Jasper), batch jobs, and end-of-day/start-of-day processes.
• Directly interact with clients and ensure quality of technical and application architecture.
• Research and benchmark technology against best-in-class solutions.
• Follow best practices in coding, security, unit testing, and documentation.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of Finacle Product Architecture and customization layers.
• Proficient in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions applicable to Finacle applications.
• Experience in Finacle scripting, Unix shell scripting, and report designing.
• Knowledge of Finacle Integrator and potential enhancements.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.

Functional Skills:

• Knowledge of Finacle Core Banking functionalities.
• Understanding of the banking domain and associated terminologies.
• Finacle certification from Infosys is a plus.
• Experience with the Finacle CRM and Admin module (FINFADM/SSOADM).

Soft Skills:

• Ability to influence teams on technical considerations, enhancing productivity and effectiveness.
• Self-motivated and capable of driving initiatives independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas effectively to senior and executive management.
