About the Role
Product managers at the company are generalists by design. You will not own a single domain; instead, you will work across the entire product, including investing, lending, savings, and the growth loops that connect them, taking on whatever matters most in a given cycle.

This position is built for the evolving landscape of product work. We are seeking a product manager with a software engineering background who can transition a problem from "we should address this" to a working version within days. You will place it in front of customers, analyze the results, and decide whether to scale it or cease development. You will collaborate with engineers and designers, and you are expected to undertake the initial discovery phase independently. This is a senior position where you will set priorities for your initiatives, explain and defend them, and be accountable for your commitments.

What You Will Own
You will work closely with a team of engineers and manage a dynamic portfolio of initiatives across the product, prioritizing each cycle based on the most pressing business needs. Your role over the first year will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Outcomes over Backlog: You will be measured on results such as deposits into portfolios, product activation and conversion, retention, and the rate at which your squad ships. Each initiative will come with a specific target, and you will need to articulate your strategy for achieving it.
  • Building to Learn: Before creating a specification, you will produce a prototype. Utilizing AI development tools and your engineering background, you will build a working version, analyze the codebase, define the event taxonomy, and query the data directly. Engineers will receive both a working prototype and a clear brief.
  • Simplifying: Each quarter, you will eliminate something: a feature that lacks usage, an unnecessary flow, or a setting that should not exist. Shipping fewer, well-functioning features is a core aspect of this role.
  • Growing What Works: Once a feature gains traction, you will enhance it through experiments, cohort analysis, and funnel data, focusing on improving performance metrics.
  • Treating Regulation as Product Work: Compliance, personal data protection, KYC, and disclosures will be integrated into the product from the outset. Engaging the compliance team early will ensure regulated flows are simplified for the customer.
  • Managing Intake: You will handle product requests from across the organization by maintaining a single channel and a ranked list, declining requests in writing with a valid reason.

How Product and Engineering Work Together
At the company, Product and Engineering operate as a cohesive team under a unified planning model. Each product manager is paired with a small squad of engineers and an engineering lead, with design shared across squads. The ratio of product managers to engineers is intentionally kept low. All changes—be they customer-focused, technical health, reliability, or platform—enter the same prioritization process. As a product manager, you are expected to advocate for engineering health alongside customer outcomes. Daily execution is coordinated within squads, with weekly discussions to settle priorities, capacity, and trade-offs. Every initiative is documented prior to development, and product managers are responsible for conducting the necessary technical exploration to craft complete requirements.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Three or more years in product management, with real ownership of a live consumer or fintech product and measurable outcomes to discuss.
  • A software engineering background: a degree in computer science or engineering, along with experience as an engineer, or a strong record of building software independently. You should be able to read code and create working prototypes with or without AI tools.
  • Proficiency with product data, including defining event tracking, conducting experiments, and making decisions based on funnel and cohort analysis.
  • Proficient in professional written and spoken Arabic and English.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a regulated product (banking, investment, lending, or insurance) and knowledge of integrating compliance into the product process.
  • Practical experience using AI development and analysis tools, along with a working prototype to demonstrate.
  • Experience as the senior product person in a small team, setting standards for peers.

Why Join?
You will help shape a product that manages real money for a large customer base within one of the fastest-growing markets globally. The team is small, maintaining high standards, and the impact of your decisions will be directly evident in the performance metrics. If you seek the opportunity to build, ship, and observe results, this role is for you.
