Position

The Senior Product Manager for Home Finance will lead and manage the performance of Home Finance and real estate products according to the company's strategy. This role includes implementing strategy through the management of product financials, parameters, processes, business development, and marketing plans. The Senior Product Manager has end-to-end ownership of all aspects of product performance and is the sole owner of the product manual, which must be routinely updated to include all aspects of the product's policies, procedures, and approvals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate client leads for financing real estate properties.
  • Counsel customers on market conditions, rates, prices, and mortgages.
  • Develop competitive market pricing by comparing with other banks.
  • Create comprehensive lists for real estate sale properties, including location, features, and square footage.
  • Build customer cases with all required documents as per the company TM/RAC.
  • Finalize deals with customers for signing facility offer letters, mortgage contracts, and other related documents.
  • Facilitate negotiations between buyers and sellers.
  • Review purchase contracts to ensure terms are met.
  • Promote properties through ads, listings, and open houses.
  • Prepare loyalty contracts, purchase agreements, rental agreements, deeds, and other documents for each real estate transaction.
  • Maintain real estate license and industry knowledge.

Product Management

  • Manage and prepare products (design, development, and enhancement) to align with market needs.
  • Lead product innovation and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and cascade the company's management strategy into the Home Finance Department's operations, ensuring alignment with other strategies.
  • Keep product and credit program manuals updated with necessary procedures and approvals.
  • Update the product pricing document regularly to reflect market conditions and regulatory impacts.
  • Maintain practical forms of product term sheets for internal and external use.
  • Follow up on internal and Sharia audit points, maintaining a log of opened and closed items.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Document and keep all product policies and procedure manuals updated; ensure implementation through a key controls self-assessment process (KCSA).
  • Identify gaps and areas for improvement in current processes, including technology enhancements.
  • Obtain necessary approvals from Sharia, operations, and legal on all policy and procedure changes.
  • Set service level agreements by liaising with internal departments to ensure optimal turnaround times for customers.
  • Act as a customer service ambassador by resolving issues directly or escalating them appropriately.

Business Development

  • Provide market intelligence to refine business direction through updated market scans.
  • Transform strategies into business partnerships with mortgage and real estate brokers, developers, evaluators, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in industry events and project financing initiatives.
  • Initiate and manage networking events for business partners.
  • Establish training programs for business partners to introduce current products and enhancements.

Marketing

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop product collateral and enhance the home finance microsite.
  • Establish and manage a year-round product marketing plan, including e-marketing and promotional campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, preferably with a specialization in Finance or Accounting.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in the banking sector.
  • Understanding of real estate market dynamics and key drivers of change.
  • Good knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations, and risks.
  • Strong planning, organization, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management and analytical skills.
  • PC literate with exceptional analytical abilities.
