Senior Product Owner

About the Role
As a part of a progressive and modern banking institution, the Senior Product Owner will be responsible for the Agile Product Lifecycle and will ultimately oversee the delivery of Cards products and services across Digital Channels. Responsibilities

• Product Strategy and Roadmap: Define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities. Maintain a clear and actionable product strategy and ensure it aligns with the bank’s overall strategy.
• Value Creation: Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories and themes that focus on maximum value and customer impact.
• Cards Domain Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise across Cards products and services including Visa products and card lifecycle management.
• Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
• Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it reflects stakeholder priorities and is regularly refined.
• Feature Definition: Define user stories and acceptance criteria based on business needs and user feedback.
• Release Planning and Coordination: Plan and coordinate product releases, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
• Product Development Oversight: Act as the primary point of contact for the development team, supporting them throughout the development lifecycle.
• Digital Channels & Security: Drive delivery of Cards capabilities across Mobile and Online Banking, adhering to security and regulatory requirements.
• Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to identify opportunities for product innovation and stay informed about industry trends.
• User Experience and Quality Assurance: Work with UX/UI designers and QA analysts to ensure high standards of usability and quality.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor product performance and KPIs, and drive continuous improvement based on data insights.
• Stakeholder Management and Communication: Define and communicate product requirements effectively to stakeholders and manage business analysts.

Requirements

• Cards Experience: Over 10 years of experience in Cards, Payments, Digital Banking, or Financial Services, with substantial responsibility for end-to-end Cards delivery.
• Techno-Functional Expertise: Ability to bridge business and technology teams and understand solution architecture.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Visa products, scheme rules, certification processes, and card transaction lifecycle.
• Platform Knowledge: Hands-on experience with VisionPLUS.
• Cards Processing: Comprehensive understanding of card lifecycle management, transaction processing, and fraud controls.
• Channels: Proven experience integrating card platforms with Mobile and Online Banking, APIs, and payment switches.
• Security: Understanding of PCI DSS, tokenization, and fraud prevention measures.
• Agile Delivery: Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and proficiency with JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Market Experience: Preferred experience within UAE or GCC banking and familiarity with regional regulatory environments.
