Senior Product Quality Engineer

The company is a center of excellence for propulsion technologies, specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of combustion engines, expendable turbojet engines, and turbofan engines for a wide range of aerospace, defense, and autonomous applications, including fixed- and rotary-wing UAVs and other advanced platforms. The Senior Product Quality Engineer holds product approval authority for supplier-manufactured parts across the company propulsion programs, including turbofan, microjet, and piston engines. The role reviews and approves supplier advanced product quality planning, production part approval and first article inspection submissions, defines inspection and acceptance requirements, and coordinates configuration and change management between Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve supplier APQP submissions including process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans and measurement systems analysis, in line with AS9145.
• Define inspection and acceptance requirements for supplier-manufactured parts, including sampling strategy, inspection method, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate design change implementation with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and suppliers, ensuring changes reach suppliers only through released, revision-controlled drawings and formal change notices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Materials or Metrology Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in aerospace quality, supplier quality, product quality or manufacturing engineering.
• Demonstrated authority-level experience reviewing and approving APQP, PPAP (AS9145), and first article inspection (AS9102) packages.

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical metrology competence — CMM, optical and contact measurement, gauge design principles, measurement systems analysis.
• Experience of nonconformance and material review processes, concession management, and structured problem solving (8D).
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites.
