Senior Product Technical Support Engineer

As a Senior Product Technical Support Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will be an integral part of the team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Your primary responsibilities will include assembling GIS components and modules into complete bays, conducting routine tests, and maintaining a high standard of quality, cost efficiency, and delivery time. Key duties involve troubleshooting, quality control, and cooperation with local service center engineers to drive product improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, repair, and conduct routine tests (Mechanical, 10KV, HV, functional, and resistance measurements) of GIS bays following work instructions, drawings, and customer order data.
• Fulfill work package orders according to production data while ensuring self-checking of results.
• Maintain and calibrate factory equipment and tools, ensuring quality control and addressing any quality issues immediately.
• Support documentation such as quality problem reports and non-conformance reports.
• Collaborate effectively with internal customers and stakeholders while adhering to safety and quality guidelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lean culture by following Hitachi Energy's HSE guidelines.

Your Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a production facility, particularly in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of GIS products (ELK04C, ELK04, ELK03, & ELK14) is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and material lists.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of lean concepts and waste minimization.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
