Responsibilities:
- Assemble, repair, and conduct routine tests (Mechanical, 10KV, HV, functional & resistance measurements) of GIS bays in accordance with established work instructions, drawings, bill of materials, checklists, guidelines, and customer order data.
- Fulfill orders related to work packages based on production data and instructions.
- Conduct self-checks of work package results, complete assigned checklists and protocols.
- Strive for excellence in quality, cost, and delivery time.
- Properly handle factory equipment and tools, maintain equipment, and ensure continuous calibration.
- Manage quality control and escalate quality issues immediately, including recording deviations, supporting root cause analysis of failures, and writing quality problem reports.
- Gather product improvement feedback from GIS Local Service Center engineers.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and internal stakeholders across assembly, testing, logistics, and other functions.
- Adhere to factory rules and guidelines related to safety, quality, environment, recycling, and housekeeping.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by following Hitachi Energy HSE guidelines and reporting any irregularities.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement processes and the Lean culture.
- Provide feedback and share observations whenever possible.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to fulfill job requirements.
Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a production facility, including assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Preferred knowledge in products ELK04C, ELK04, ELK03, and ELK14.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and material lists.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse teams.
- Understanding of lean concepts and minimizing related wastes.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
