Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly, repair, and routine testing (Mechanical, 10KV, HV, functional, and resistance measurements) of GIS bays according to work instructions, drawings, bill of materials, checklists, guidelines, and customer order data.
- Ensure compliance with assigned production data and instructions, complete work packages accurately, and maintain quality assurance processes.
- Identify and escalate quality issues promptly and document any deviations.
- Support product improvement by gathering feedback from GIS Local Service Center engineers.
- Promote teamwork, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and follow safety, quality, and environmental guidelines.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of Lean manufacturing.
- Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for personal actions while caring for colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a production facility focused on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience with products such as ELK04C, ELK04, ELK03, and ELK14.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient understanding of technical drawings and material lists.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of lean concepts and waste minimization.
- Language Requirements: Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
