Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project controls strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective monitoring and management of project performance.
- Oversee the establishment of project baselines, including schedules, budgets, and performance metrics, in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
- Lead the project controls team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of project controls activities.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and performance indicators, analyzing variances and identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers and functional leads to develop mitigation strategies for identified risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare regular project controls reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key issues, trends, and recommendations.
- Coordinate with finance, procurement, and contracts management teams to ensure alignment of project controls activities with organizational objectives and policies.
- Conduct project controls audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of controls processes and identify areas for enhancement.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in project controls, incorporating relevant methodologies and tools to improve project outcomes.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the project controls team and across the organization.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and cost control techniques.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret project cost data and identify trends and patterns.
- Advanced knowledge of cost estimation and budgeting principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to leverage technology and software tools for efficient cost tracking and reporting.
- ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience
- Minimum 8 years working experience, with at least 5 years in a relevant supervisory position.
- 2 years of experience in the GCC region is a plus.
