Senior Project Engineer

About the Job: Provides project delivery capability within the Project Management Office for WCS. Assists in developing and implementing processes and procedures to ensure best practices in project management are established within the organization. Responsible for preparing project schedules, managing tender processes, and coordinating and administering live projects from the company office. The role entails accountability for schedule control, cost management, budgets, variations, and risk management in accordance with WCS procedures. Additionally, the engineer will provide status and management reports and engage with clients throughout the project life cycle. Key Accountabilities: - Drive and deliver projects across the WCS business in collaboration with the Lead Project Engineer and stakeholders. - Lead structured project management practices for cost, time, and resource control. - Utilize MS Project to administer project plans and manage scope, variations, and deviations. - Plan and schedule works and ensure site team compliance with PMO processes. - Produce weekly and monthly project status reports with variance tracking. - Ensure adherence to safety standards and implementation of safety policies globally. - Act as an ambassador of WCS and the company when engaging with clients, suppliers, and contractors. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: - Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline. - At least 7 years of experience in project management practices within heavy industry, ideally marine port operations. - Crane knowledge and experience is desirable. - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Skills: - Strong project planning, scheduling, and reporting abilities. - Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Confident communicator at all organizational levels with strong presentation skills.
