The Senior Project Engineer position is designed to support the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects. This role involves coordinating technical activities, managing interfaces with contractors and consultants, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, client standards, and applicable regulations. The position is primarily office-based in Abu Dhabi, with regular interactions with site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare tenders and service orders, including scope definition, technical evaluation, and commercial coordination.
- Assist in the transition projects, collaborating with both office and site teams; provide support in planning, scheduling, and coordinating all technical aspects of projects.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of design drawings, specifications, and technical documents with established standards.
- Support the Senior Project Manager in managing site activities, Service Orders, contractor performance, and coordination with consultants and stakeholders.
- Monitor work progress to ensure alignment with project schedules and quality standards.
- Participate in the preparation and review of technical submittals, method statements, RFIs, and progress reports.
- Assist in resolving design, construction, and site issues.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and environmental standards.
- Act as the focal point between the Abu Dhabi office and site teams to ensure effective coordination and information flow.
- Support quality compliance, cost monitoring, and control activities.
- Participate in internal and client meetings, providing quality and technical input as required.
- Assist in the preparation of handover documentation and project close-out reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 15 years of professional experience.
- Experience working with clients, contractors, and international stakeholders is advantageous.
Key Skills:
- Experience in Majnoon Oil Field, Basra, Iraq.
- Strong technical and engineering background.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work in complex environments with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
