About the Role:
The Senior Project Finance Manager is responsible for managing the governance and project financial reporting of bank-wide technology projects. This role involves close collaboration with the Tech department and particularly with the Head of Tech / Head of Transformation Office. The Project Finance Manager will review financial business cases for Tech projects, drive budget management, provide timely financial reports to stakeholders, identify and mitigate financial risks, ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations, and coordinate with project managers for timely capitalization and asset recording. Additionally, the role assists the Transformation Office in overseeing project governance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Transformation Office to drive technology project financial reporting for all business and functions.
- Conduct critical financial evaluations of executive summaries and CapEx proposals, ensuring all elements meet standards.
- Safeguard that all relevant documentation and approvals are stored in the Central Project repository.
- Create projects in the Oracle system, assign budgets as approved, and monitor spending.
- Provide timely financial reports and dashboards to stakeholders regarding project financials.
- Coordinate with project managers, the Transformation Office, and CAD for timely capitalization of projects and recording of fixed assets per policy.
- Prompt management and the Transformation Office of cost overruns or budget underutilization issues in a timely manner.
- Validate appropriate chargeability and usage of item codes and GL in Oracle procurement.
- Ensure project closure in the system and coordinate with project managers for closing unused LPOs.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations at every stage of the project as applicable.
- Actively participate and lead in the Annual CapEx Planning Exercise with Tech, business leads, and the Transformation Office.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Finance / Accounting or CA / MBA Finance with at least 5-8 years of experience in the banking industry, managing financials of multiple technology projects.
- Strong knowledge of project and program management, specifically concerning technology projects.
- Excellent financial data analysis and proficiency in project/financial software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
