The company is looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Project Manager – Depot to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design and construction of the depot facilities for a major rail project in the UAE on behalf of the Client. The Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of all depot package activities within a high-speed rail project, which includes managing and coordinating key stakeholders across all project phases such as design, planning, procurement, construction, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of project delivery from concept through to completion.
- Monitor PMEC and Contractor’s performance in delivering programs according to the established packaging strategy.
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
- Implement quality standards for the project and conduct periodic inspections.
- Manage interfaces between work packages and systems for effective integration.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and provide clear, regular progress reporting.
- Manage contract delivery within the project environment, including change control and reporting.
- Oversee the establishment of project management, health and safety, quality assurance/control, systems integration, and testing/commissioning plans.
- Collaborate with project staff, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to rectify potential cost overruns or delays.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (or Chartered Engineer Status) with not less than 15 years of experience in managing design/construction of rail projects, preferably high-speed rail (HSR). A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in project management with a focus on Depot Design and Construction in railway and transit projects.
- Proven construction management experience and strong commercial/financial awareness.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in an intense yet rewarding work culture.
- Engineering background or some level of technical knowledge.
Desired Skills:
- Relevant project or construction management certification (e.g., PMP, CCM or equivalent).
- Proven experience on High-Speed Rail projects is highly desirable.
- GCC/UAE experience is also a plus.
