Senior Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale, complex enterprise transformation programme. This pivotal role requires the ability to orchestrate multiple workstreams, manage diverse stakeholder groups, and achieve successful outcomes in a fast-paced, technically sophisticated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Programme & Delivery Management:

  • Lead and manage large-scale, complex enterprise projects from initiation through to successful closure.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, and budgets.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to best practices and methodologies.

• Stakeholder & Client Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, building strong, trusted relationships.
  • Lead weekly project cadence meetings and provide regular status updates to all stakeholders.
  • Chair and facilitate Steering Committee meetings, presenting progress, risks, and key decisions.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure alignment between business objectives and project outcomes.

• Team Leadership:

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional delivery teams of 20+ members, including technical specialists, consultants, and third-party resources.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that drives engagement, accountability, and high performance.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members throughout the project lifecycle.

• Risk & Issue Management:

  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and decisions (RAIDD).
  • Implement effective mitigation strategies and escalation procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive RAIDD logs and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience managing large-scale, complex IT/technology delivery projects.
• Mandatory experience in data migration projects, with a strong understanding of migration methodologies, risks, and best practices.
• Technical familiarity with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and associated services.
• Working knowledge of the SAP technology stack and enterprise application landscapes.
• Experience managing teams of 20+ people across multiple disciplines.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging at C-suite and senior leadership levels.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining team cohesion.

Desirable Requirements:

• Prince2 Practitioner or PMP certification (or equivalent professional PM qualification).
• Experience delivering projects within the manufacturing sector.
• Experience with enterprise-scale cloud migrations and transformation programmes.
• Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or other complementary delivery methodologies.
• Knowledge of data warehouse/business intelligence platforms.
• Experience with milestone, commercial, and contract management.
