What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide direction and management, overseeing all Project Managers (PMs) to ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget and according to contractual obligations.
- Initiate and set goals for project managers in line with the strategic goals of the Country Manager and corporate strategy.
- Oversee project delivery and overall success, supervising project managers and informing the Country Manager on progress and performance.
- Establish program requirements for all project areas and ensure deliverables adhere to these criteria.
- Oversee establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other necessary documentation.
- Act as the company representative with clients and selected subcontractors during program execution.
- Negotiate changes to the scope of work with clients and key subcontractors.
- Collaborate with Business Development to market and secure additional work with clients.
- Develop and distribute project summaries to all project team members for reference.
- Work with key project individuals to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays and advise management of significant changes.
- Promote technical and commercial excellence on projects through adherence to Quality Assurance processes.
- Monitor and report progress to the Country Manager on all project activities, including significant milestones and conditions that could impact project cost or schedule.
- Perform additional responsibilities associated with this role as needed.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in construction and design management, with a strong focus on luxury hospitality projects.
- Thorough knowledge of program management with a strategic mindset on industry best practices and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients, corporate, and project managers on both technical and non-technical subjects.
- Advanced leadership skills with the ability to perform in a management capacity.
- Ability to supervise all projects and project managers to provide constructive feedback and resolve complex problems.
- Advanced knowledge of current technology and its effective utilization on projects.
