In this role, you will manage Design Managers over a wide range of projects. You will provide direction and management for large scale projects or several small projects, ensuring on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. You will be responsible for scope development, scope management, and commercial performance of the projects to meet goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and management overseeing all Project Managers (PMs) to assure timely completion within budget.
  • Initiate and set goals for PMs and projects aligned with the Country Manager's strategy.
  • Oversee delivery and overall success of projects, supervising managers and informing the Country Manager on progress.
  • Establish program requirements for all areas of the project and check deliverables for adherence to criteria.
  • Oversee establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other necessary documents.
  • Act as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during program execution.
  • Negotiate changes to the scope of work with clients and key subcontractors.
  • Work collaboratively with Business Development to secure additional work with clients.
  • Develop and distribute project summaries for reference by the project team.
  • Work with key individuals to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays.
  • Monitor and report to the Country Manager on project activity, including significant milestones and conditions affecting cost or schedule.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as appropriate.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in construction and design management, with a focus on luxury hospitality projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of program management and engineering principles, along with a strategic mindset regarding industry best practices and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders on technical and non-technical subjects.
  • Advanced leadership skills with the ability to perform in a management capacity.
  • Advanced knowledge of current technology and its effective utilization on projects.

Work Conditions:

  • On-site, full-time position.

Language Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
