Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the test strategy, test plans, and test cases for assigned projects.
- Perform manual functional, integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support testing across web and mobile platforms.
- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites (UI, API, and regression) using Java, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Review requirements and user stories to derive clear, traceable acceptance criteria and test coverage.
- Log, track, and manage defects to closure, ensuring accurate prioritization and root-cause reporting.
- Conduct API testing, data validation, and cross-browser/cross-device testing.
- Mentor junior QA team members and review their test artifacts.
- Report quality metrics and release readiness to project stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of QA experience, including hands-on manual and automation testing.
- Strong proficiency in Java for test automation.
- Proficiency with automation frameworks built on Java (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, TestNG/JUnit).
- Strong experience in API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and SQL for data validation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and version control (Git).
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) / Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISTQB certification (Foundation or Advanced).
- Experience testing enterprise platforms (e.g., Dynamics 365, Power Platform, SharePoint).
- Experience with build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).
- Experience with performance and security testing.
- Exposure to government or large-scale digital transformation programs.
