As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be part of our Quality Engineering team, where quality is central to our brand. We value diverse perspectives and backgrounds and are committed to building a talented team of quality engineers. Our team is responsible for ensuring software quality throughout the entire customer journey, from ticket booking to the seamless delivery of ancillary services and the efficient operation of our airplanes.

We utilize a variety of testing tools and methodologies, applying widely-used frameworks and programming languages such as Java, C, and Python, along with innovative technologies essential for application development, testing, and deployment. Our focus includes implementing CI/CD pipelines and following DevSecOps practices for continuous improvement, enhancing the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with project members, architects, and software engineers to translate technical landscapes into functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Provide early feedback on potential risks in product requirements and design in partnership with product owners.
  • Work with the Quality Engineering Chapter team to ensure non-production environments and test data support all testing activities across feature teams.
  • Coordinate with other release train teams to manage testing of cross dependencies.
  • Configure Test Tools accurately to support metrics collection for dashboards at program and enterprise-wide levels.
  • Guide Software Engineers in writing and maintaining automated functional tests through continuous integration.
  • Maintain and adapt automation frameworks and test harnesses for robust end-to-end testing.
  • Facilitate adherence to Quality Gate requirements.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience with a Degree or Honours in Information Technology or equivalent in a relevant field, such as Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Experience in quality engineering roles within a digital or ecommerce context.
  • Experience as a Software Quality Engineering lead or similar position managing multiple products.
  • Extensive hands-on experience developing UI and API automation frameworks, with knowledge of common programming and scripting languages (Java, Python, JS, C, Ruby, Perl).
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, WebDriver Grid, Protractor, Jasmine, Cucumber, Gherkin, JUnit, TestNG.
  • Proficient with Git SCM tools (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket), CI tools like Jenkins, Azure, DevOps, and experienced in at least 2 programming languages under coding best practices.
  • Strong expertise in context-driven and exploratory testing and experience with various testing heuristics.
  • Knowledge of VMs and containers, as well as cloud offerings like Amazon and Google Cloud.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the airline, aviation, or large-scale customer-facing systems.
  • Familiarity with observability and performance testing tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana).
