Responsibilities
- Work closely with product owners to provide early feedback on any foreseen risks in the product requirements and design.
- Collaborate with the Quality Engineering Chapter team to ensure non-production environments and test data are available to support the complete set of testing activities across feature teams.
- Liaise with other release train teams to manage the testing of cross dependencies.
- Ensure Test Tools are configured correctly to support the collection of metrics for program and enterprise-wide dashboards.
- Support and guide Software Engineers to write and maintain automated functional tests through continuous integration.
- Implement, maintain, and adapt automation frameworks and test harnesses to ensure robust end-to-end tests.
- Facilitate the set up and adherence to Quality Gate requirements.
Requirements
- Degree or Honors in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, or Software Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- Experience in quality engineering roles within a digital or e-commerce environment.
- Experience as a Software Quality Engineer lead or equivalent position, managing multiple products.
- Extensive hands-on experience with developing UI and API automation frameworks and familiar with one or more common programming and scripting languages (Java, Visual Basic Script, Python, JS, C#, and C).
- Automation frameworks experience using tools such as UFT/OpenText Functional Testing, Selenium components, Protractor, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG.
- Experience using git SCM tools (GitHub, Bitbucket), CI tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps, and proficiency in at least 2 different programming languages, utilizing coding best practices.
- Ability to provide product input on business process flows and scenario mapping for business solutions.
- Strong expertise with context-driven and exploratory testing with practical experience of various testing heuristics.
- Experience working with VMs and containers on-prem and cloud platforms like Amazon and Google Cloud.
