Senior Quality Engineer

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you’ll lead the development and execution of quality systems and assurance processes across the full lifecycle of our spacecraft, from component procurement to launch readiness. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with a strong path toward senior management.

About this Role:

• Support implementation and sustain a quality management system (AS9100-based QMS)
• Lead root cause investigations (RCS) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
• Conduct supplier audits, define qualification criteria
• Participate in engineering design reviews (Control Plans, PFMEA, etc.)
• Establish and monitor quality KPIs across operations
• Mentor junior engineers/inspectors and contribute to team scaling

Must Haves:

• 7+ years in quality engineering (aerospace or high-reliability hardware)
• Deep understanding of AS9100 or ISO9001 QMS
• Experience with root cause tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
• Familiarity with flight hardware qualification and readiness processes
• Proficiency in Jira, PLM (Arena, DURO), ERP (NetSuite), MES (ION) systems
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T

Nice to Haves:

• Exposure to IPC or NASA workmanship standards
• Experience with customer or agency quality audits
• Leadership experience or mentoring background
