Senior Researcher in NLP/LLM

Technology Innovation Institute (TII) is seeking a Senior Researcher in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLM). TII is a global independent research and development institute dedicated to solving society's biggest challenges through scientific discovery and cutting-edge technology. The Artificial Intelligence Cross-Center Unit at TII is focused on leveraging AI to drive innovation across various sectors, including technology, healthcare, cybersecurity, and government.

In this role, the candidate will concentrate on developing, adapting, and enhancing algorithms for diverse applications in NLP and LLM. Responsibilities include applying machine learning and deep learning techniques to improve the accuracy of NLP/LLM algorithms, developing state-of-the-art models focused on dialogue systems and question answering, and researching new natural language processing solutions. The candidate will also be responsible for managing large datasets for model training, optimizing models for real-world applications, and potentially publishing or patenting novel algorithms.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. (completed or near completion) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• In-depth understanding of generative models, LLM training, fine-tuning, or alignment techniques.
• Strong engineering skills for rapid implementation and validation of research ideas.
• Extensive knowledge of natural language processing.
