Job Duties
- Lead the delivery (time, cost, quality) of assigned package.
- Supervise and manage contractors to ensure works are constructed as per specification and comply with health and safety obligations.
- Manage and direct the supervision team for day-to-day inspections.
- Resolve site issues and present progress and package issues to the client team.
- Negotiate changes to the scope of work with clients and key subcontractors.
- Responsible for following up on project instructions and commitments.
- Establish Project Execution Plan, Health & Safety Plan, Quality Control Plan, and other necessary documents.
- Establish program requirements for all project areas and monitor site staff performance.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project and site team.
- Assign responsibilities to key subordinates in their respective fields of expertise.
- Provide input to performance reviews and develop plans for subordinates.
- Organize internal weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items.
- Represent the company in all client meetings.
- Perform various engineering works and project/construction management related to roads construction.
- Review technical deliverables, construction programmes, specifications, and cost estimates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering field (e.g., Civil Engineering).
- Engineering chartership is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Dubai Authorities is advantageous, specifically experience with Dubai Municipality STP projects and water treatment plant projects is ideal.
Experience
- Minimum of 20 years’ post-graduate experience in design and site supervision of projects with a broad general engineering background.
- UAE experience is essential, particularly in Dubai, with proven expertise in existing sewage treatment works and the design/construction of sewage treatment plants in the region.
