What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage the scope of engineering work, schedules, change management, and closeout for assigned project elements, while monitoring progress to meet schedule and budget requirements.
- Lead the construction supervision team for infrastructure works related to a high-profile community development project in Dubai.
- Coordinate with authorities and agencies for approvals and project/service handover.
- Interface with contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with the contract and deliverables.
- Review work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed, and quality is maintained.
- Review and approve change orders, notifying project management and other affected personnel of all changes.
- Manage client expectations and periodically update progress.
- Liaise with authorities to ensure smooth execution and handover of the project.
- Ensure that the company's rights and obligations are fulfilled.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 20+ years of overall work experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects (including roads, bridges, and utilities) within the UAE.
- Recent and substantial work experience in community development projects is essential, preferably in Dubai.
- Knowledge of NOC procedures, commissioning, and various government authority specifications & procedures in the Emirate of Dubai is required.
- Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with relevant standards and codes.
- Proficient in computer skills and software relevant to the field.
- Knowledge of construction health, safety, and environmental standards.
