The Senior Risk Analytics Developer will support the Head of Risk to maintain and drive solutions designed for the risk management sub-divisions. The Senior Developer will work alongside risk managers and the Core IT function in the maintenance and development of risk management analytics and solutions. Responsibilities include:
- Drive risk solution projects from conception to delivery, ensuring on-time delivery and objectives are met.
- Ensure all code complies with coding standards and guidelines, including CSOC requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ADSS Development standards related to information technology and data privacy.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality code.
- Lead management of data, analytics, and development of reporting within the Risk department.
- Review the existing Risk platform for optimal efficiency.
- Collect and review business requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback to Risk Management.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve issues with the Risk applications.
- Contribute to implementing changes to technology systems for large risk management.
- Be involved with QA test plan reviews and UAT.
- Evaluate software for performance (latency, throughput, SQL, heap utilization, scalability) and recommend changes where appropriate.
- Continually improve the software development lifecycle and quality of the product.
About You
- Prior experience in the brokerage industry, working on Risk management analytics.
- 10+ years of experience in backend development.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise Java.
- 5+ years of experience in SQL.
- 3+ years of experience in Spring Boot.
- Experience in Git version control, using DevOps pipelines, REST API.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and transform business requirements into technical requirements.
- Experience in software development within risk management and familiarity with risk management of financial derivatives.
- Strong knowledge of Java and object-oriented system technologies.
- Solid understanding of Java concepts/practices, concurrency, and distributed programming.
- Risk management systems and quantitative analysis experience is a plus.
- Experience with design, prototyping, and technical documentation skills.
- Experience designing and building end-to-end software solutions.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
