The Maneuver Dominance team at the company focuses on developing relevant, multi-asset autonomy for military operations, ensuring that large groups of autonomous systems operate efficiently together.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Networked Software: Create scalable software that interacts with networking devices and manages networks.
  • Payload & SMS Integration: Design software that connects with stores management systems (SMS) to control mission payloads.
  • API/ICD Design: Architect and implement software APIs and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) using technologies like HTTP, REST, and gRPC.
  • Data Transport Engineering: Optimize low-level data transport protocols (UDP/TCP) for reliable, low-latency communication.
  • Hardware Interfacing Software: Bridge higher-level autonomy software with direct hardware devices and sensors.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with various teams to integrate software with physical platforms.
  • Real-World Deployment: Travel up to 25% to test and deploy systems in operational environments.
  • Iterative Development: Engage in all software lifecycle stages including prototyping and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and Debug: Analyze and resolve issues to ensure system reliability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with production-grade software in C++ and/or Rust.
  • Familiarity with networking software, API design with HTTP/REST/gRPC, and low-level data transport protocols.
  • Experience interfacing with hardware.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Eligible for a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with aerospace and defense standards, stores management systems, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
  • Additional programming skills in Python or Go, and familiarity with performance optimization.

Salary Range:
$220,000—$292,000 USD
