About the Role
As a Senior Sales Commercial Officer, you will help us transform the everyday by finding solutions and making the world a more inquisitive place for tomorrow.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Sales Commercial Management – Acting as a commercial partner to Sales throughout the opportunity lifecycle, independently managing commercial aspects of bids, tenders, and quotations, including pricing, profitability, cash flow, and commercial negotiations.
  • Contract Management & Negotiations – Independently reviewing, assessing, and negotiating commercial terms and conditions of customer contracts and purchase orders, identifying contractual deviations, risks, and opportunities while coordinating with Legal and other stakeholders as required.
  • Commercial Risk Management – Evaluating and mitigating commercial and financial risks, including liabilities, liquidated damages, payment and acceptance terms, Bank Guarantees, Letters of Credit, and customer credit exposure, ensuring compliance with internal approval and governance requirements.
  • Order Management & Commercial Handover – Ensuring commercial and contractual readiness for order acceptance and booking, including verification of contractual commitments, approvals, and documentation. Facilitate effective handover to execution teams, ensuring clarity on commercial obligations, billing milestones, and financial risks.
  • Financial & Business Performance – Supporting sales forecasting, order intake planning, and commercial performance monitoring, providing actionable insights to support business decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership – Collaborating closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Project Management, constructively challenging commercial assumptions, driving resolution of contractual issues and enabling commercially sound business decisions.
  • Processes, Systems & Continuous Improvement – Ensuring effective implementation of commercial processes and controls, maintaining data quality in SAP and other business applications, and driving process standardization, simplification, and digitalization initiatives.

Your success is grounded in:

  • 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in sales commercial management, contract management, commercial finance, or commercial project management within an international business environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline; relevant professional qualifications are an advantage.
  • Experience in reviewing, interpreting, and negotiating commercial terms and conditions of customer contracts, tenders, and purchase orders.
  • Strong understanding of commercial risk management, contractual liabilities, guarantees, payment terms, customer credit management, and order acceptance requirements.
  • CPM certification.
  • Sound financial acumen, including pricing, profitability, cash flow, working capital, revenue recognition, and financial risk assessment.
  • Experience in commercial project management, including project financials, billing milestones, contract variations, and claims management, would be a strong advantage.
  • Good practical knowledge of SAP, including sales order processing and relevant commercial and project-related transactions.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with Power BI and AI-enabled productivity tools is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and independent commercial judgment, with the ability to assess complex situations and recommend practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to constructively challenge and collaborate across functions, countries, and cultures.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.

You’ll benefit from:

  • 2 to 3 days of mobile working per week as a global standard.
  • A diverse and inclusive culture.
  • An environment where everyone can bring their whole self and feel a sense of belonging.
  • The foundation to develop personally and professionally.
  • An extraordinary variety of learning & development opportunities.

We value your outstanding identity and perspective and are fully committed to providing equitable opportunities and building a workplace that reflects the diversity of society. We encourage applications from a diverse talent pool and are happy to discuss flexibility and reasonable adjustment requirements. Many of our teams are working optimally in a remote, virtual environment, adding to our ability to offer more flexibility on how you handle your time.
