The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly proficient and innovative Senior Scientist – Machine Learning to help design and implement a cutting-edge AI platform through Machine Learning and software development techniques.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain various Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning codes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Product Managers and Software Developers, to advance an AI platform applicable to Robotics, Optimization, Control, Anomaly Detection, and Machine Vision.
- Use generative AI for tasks such as data preparation, code generation, ideas validation, and publications summarization.
- Take end-to-end ownership of ML features and projects.
- Create POCs focused on Deep Learning and traditional Data Science approaches.
- Develop algorithms in key areas of Machine Learning.
- Lead the development of value-driven AI features that are innovative and deployable.
- Collaborate in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment) and related risk assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience in Software Engineering, with knowledge of NoSQL, Message Queues, Kubernetes, and Microservices.
- 5+ years' experience in AI and ML algorithm development.
- Proven proficiency in Python, with experience in Go, Java, C++, or Scala being a plus.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience debugging and tuning applications and ML pipelines for production.
- Experience deploying, configuring, and monitoring ML pipelines.
- Familiarity with the sci-kit learn library.
- Experience with embeddings, few-shot learning, and vector databases like Vespa, Qdrant, Milvus, etc.
- Knowledge of LLM prompt engineering, structured generation, fine-tuning, and quantization is a plus.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) for problems in multiple domains, including:
- NLP (seq-to-seq, semantic search, topic classification, sentiment analysis, translation)
- Image (OCR, detection, recognition)
- Video (object tracking, retrieval, anomaly detection)
- Audio (speaker recognition, speech to text)
- Recommendation Systems (retrieval, ranking, session-based recommendations, ad tech)
