We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to be the first hire in our Infosec team. This hands-on technical leadership role offers high growth potential within a cutting-edge AI-driven organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end security solutions across infrastructure, applications, and data.
As the inaugural dedicated security hire, you will be pivotal in shaping our cybersecurity strategy and practices from the ground up. Key responsibilities include:
- Security Strategy & Roadmap: Develop a comprehensive security roadmap that aligns with our business strategy.
- Security Architecture: Design, implement, and manage security architectures for various environments.
- Policies & Standards: Create and enhance security policies and frameworks across the organization.
- Risk & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to standards like ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
- Incident Management: Lead incident response, investigation, and remediation efforts.
- Security Testing: Perform penetration testing and compliance assessments.
- Security Tooling: Deploy and manage security solutions including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work with Engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to integrate security into processes.
- AI & Data Security: Develop security measures to protect AI models and data pipelines.
- Emerging Trends: Stay updated on cyber threats and apply knowledge to strengthen defenses.
- Training & Awareness: Conduct security awareness training programs.
- External Partnerships: Build relationships with external security vendors and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity.
- Proven experience in security architecture and engineering in cloud and on-prem environments.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, incident response, and threat intelligence.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP) are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and secure software development practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Language Requirements: Proficient in English (additional languages are a plus).
