Scope of Work:
You’ll be responsible for outcomes in Security Operations, focusing on:
- Threat Detection & Response: Optimizing SIEM, tuning EDR/XDR, incident investigation, and threat hunting.
- AI-Driven Defense: Developing anomaly detection models and automating phishing detection pipelines.
- Security Hardening: Managing cloud security posture across AWS, GCP, and Azure, and enforcing IAM policies.
- Cross-functional Security: Integrating security controls into engineering workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes.
What You’ll Do:

Detect and Hunt:
- Build early detection logic and enhance SIEM with custom rules and AI-powered baselines.
- Conduct threat hunts using behavioral analytics and log forensics.
- Optimize EDR/XDR configurations to reduce false positives.

Automate the Response:
- Develop intelligent playbooks for incident response to contain threats quickly.
- Document and automate workflows based on institutional knowledge.
- Create real-time dashboards for tracking incidents and compliance.

Harden the Perimeter:
- Conduct security assessments across various platforms to identify vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with IT and Engineering to implement security measures.
- Ensure CI/CD guardrails are in place to prevent vulnerabilities.
Who You Are:
- Over 8 years of experience in security operations, with hands-on experience in incident response and threat detection.
- Proficient in writing custom detection rules and reducing false positives in a SIEM environment.
- Skilled in automation using Python, Bash, or Terraform for repetitive tasks.
- Experienced with AI-driven security methodologies and secure cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong communicator, able to articulate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, GSEC, etc.) are a plus but not mandatory.
