How you’ll make an impact
- Proficient in handling Telecom SDH Multiplexer, PDH Multiplexer, Wireless Router/Bridges, Switches, Routers, PABX Systems, Network Management Products.
- Works as a Telecom engineer in PDH, SDH, Ethernet, MPLS-TP technologies, collaborating with the tendering team to understand client specifications and propose technical solutions.
- Advises clients on maintenance and upgrades of existing installations.
- Delivers presentations/training on new products/solutions and conducts POCs for internal/external customers.
- Represents Service Engineering at project and design review meetings.
- Implements design changes and produces as-built project documentation, supporting continuous improvement with feedback on lessons learned.
- Aids Project Managers in issuing claims related to new scopes of work, cost impact, and time impact.
- Creates work plans and cost estimates, proactively managing tasks to ensure timely, quality, and cost-effective delivery.
- Finalizes customer acceptance certification through site activities, acting as the HE lead for Service Engineering on projects.
- Manages external organizations that provide equipment, systems, or services, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and work practices.
- Coaches Associate Service Engineers and ensures compliance with required safety regulations and contractual obligations.
- Prepares project documentation including SAT reports, Incident reports, and RCA reports.
- Obtains approvals for Service Engineering activities of Telecom Systems from utilities/customers.
- Ensures compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Embodies Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity through accountability and care for colleagues and the business.
Your background
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Broad knowledge of HE systems and the technical environment.
- Familiarity with third-party products and systems.
- Proactive coordination and reporting to Service Engineering Team Leader, embracing HE's HSE safety culture and practices.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
