Senior Service Engineer - Protection

As a Senior Service Engineer, you will be responsible for executing SLA Programs, Retrofit Upgradations, Extensions, and Modifications of Control and Protection systems for assignments of medium or high complexity. Your role involves managing the completion of site activities efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the Service Engineering function at project and customer meetings, contributing to the creation of project execution philosophies and plans.
• Implement projects in alignment with agreed philosophies and plans, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
• Support the tendering team by estimating efforts required for service engineering activities and creating work plans.
• Conduct risk and opportunity assessments during the execution of service engineering activities to ensure the safe implementation of project philosophies.
• Report any contract, quality, program, or cost issues to management, along with recommended resolutions.
• Interface with customers and external providers for plant acceptance criteria, issue resolution, and acceptance tests.
• Prepare project documentation including schedules, site visit reports, and design documentation in coordination with team leads and project managers.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance works, obtaining necessary approvals from customers for service engineering activities on control and protection systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge and experience with Substation Control and Protection Systems for EHV, HV, and MV systems.
• In-depth product knowledge of the company and competitor IEDs.
• Proficiency in MS Office, IET, ITT, PCM, MiCOM, Digsi, etc.
• Intermediate understanding of OT cybersecurity requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and manage technicians.

Language Requirements:
Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
