The position is based in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with on-site, full-time work conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficiently handle Telecom SDH Multiplexer, PDH Multiplexer, Wireless Router/Bridges, Switches, Routers, PABX Systems, and Network Management Products.
- Collaborate with the tendering team to understand client specifications related to telecommunication products and propose technical solutions.
- Advise clients on maintenance and upgrades of existing installations.
- Provide presentations and training on new products/solutions to internal and external customers and conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs).
- Represent the Service Engineering function in project meetings and design reviews.
- Implement design changes and produce as-built project documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of project processes and product/system design through feedback.
- Assist Project Managers in issuing claims for new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.
- Create work plans and cost estimates for designated responsibilities, and manage the work to deliver on time, quality, and budget.
- Conduct site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification.
- Act as the lead for Service Engineering activities on a project while ensuring a professional representation of the company in all customer interactions.
- Manage relationships with external organizations providing equipment, systems, or services.
- Coach Associate Service Engineers and ensure compliance with safety regulations and contractual requirements.
- Prepare project documentation such as SAT reports, Incident reports, and RCA reports.
- Obtain approvals from utilities/customers for Service Engineering activities of Telecom Systems.
Background Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Broad knowledge of the company systems and the technical environment.
- Knowledge and experience with third-party products and systems.
- Proactive coordination and reporting to the Service Engineering Team Leader.
- Adherence to the company HSE safety culture and practices.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
