Purpose of the function
The selected candidate will act as the technical focal point for service sales and technical support, working closely with existing and potential customers in East Africa.
Responsibilities of the job
- Provide technical service and sales support as well as maintenance visits to customers in East Africa, primarily focusing on the company DCS control system.
- Drive sales and service business support across the East Africa region.
- Conduct site visits predominantly in Tanzania and Uganda to identify and generate new sales prospects.
- Deliver training and demonstrations on company products to customers.
Required skills, competencies, qualifications
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a B.E. or B.Tech. degree, specialized in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Chemical Engineering.
- A professional background of 6-12 years in industrial automation or instrumentation-related roles, including design, engineering, and commissioning.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in service and sales roles focused on DCS/PLC, SCADA, and field instruments.
Skills & Competencies
- Familiarity with at least two DCS/PLC and SCADA systems is essential.
- Hands-on experience with company products is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of field instruments and analyzers is considered an advantage.
