Senior Site Reliability Engineer

The role of Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) entails ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of a company's website or application. The SRE works closely with development and operations teams to build and maintain scalable and robust infrastructure that supports the company’s business goals. Responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues, as well as implementing automation and improvements to optimize system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
• Design and implement highly available and scalable systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish service level objectives (SLOs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Develop and maintain monitoring tools, alerts, and dashboards for system health visibility.
• Conduct post-incident analyses and implement preventive measures.
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes for improved efficiency.
• Create and maintain documentation for system architecture and troubleshooting.
• Manage capacity planning and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with development teams for new feature implementation while ensuring reliability and performance adherence.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in site reliability engineering.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Tertiary-level qualification from an internationally recognized institution.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience demonstrating required competencies.
• Skills: Proficiency in coding languages, monitoring tools, operating systems, and database management.
• Behavioral Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and attention to detail.
