Our ideal candidate is a software engineer skilled in Python, interested in the entire open-source infrastructure stack, and capable of thriving in a high-pressure operations environment. The role emphasizes automation in operations as a software engineering challenge rather than temporary fixes.
Role Responsibilities:
- Utilize Python software-engineering skills in cloud operation tasks.
- Practice devsecops from bare metal infrastructure to applications.
- Architect and manage OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage.
- Enable devsecops for applications running on the infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience with Linux and knowledge of Linux networking and storage.
- Python software development expertise.
- Operational experience in a similar environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a curious demeanor, flexibility, and accountability.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks for company events.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with OpenStack or Kubernetes deployment or operations.
- Familiarity with public or private cloud management.
