We are hiring for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance our next-generation operations at scale, utilizing pure Python infra-as-code, from bare metal to containers and applications. Our aim is to refine enterprise infrastructure DevOps, managing hundreds of private cloud, Kubernetes, and application clusters for customers. We strive to elevate automation by embracing a universal operator pattern and model-driven operations.

In this role, you will need to have a strong belief in automation as a software engineering challenge and a keen interest in a scientific approach to operations at scale. You will engage deeply with the entire stack, from bare metal networking and the kernel up to serverless and open source applications.

Our cloud operations engineers leverage Python programming skills and rigor in operations. We practice DevSecOps from bare metal to application, architecting and managing OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage. You will also facilitate DevSecOps for applications operating on that infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Bring Python software engineering skills to the operations domain.
  • Architect and run OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage.
  • Ensure operational excellence in a high-pressure environment involving mission-critical services for top-tier customers.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience with Linux and familiarity with Linux networking and storage
  • Python software development expertise
  • Operational experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with OpenStack or Kubernetes deployment or operations
  • Familiarity with public or private cloud management
