We are hiring a Senior Site Reliability / Gitops Engineer to join our Information Systems (IS) team. This role offers an opportunity for automation-driven senior technologists with a passion for Linux to help drive success with Ubuntu and open source products. Candidates should possess experience in IT operations automation and Infrastructure as Code.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of automation and GitOps within the team.
  • Collaborate with the IS architect to align solutions with the architectural vision.
  • Design and architect services that can be offered as products.
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code practices to improve automation.
  • Automate software operations for consistency across various environments.
  • Maintain operational responsibility for core services, networks, and infrastructure.
  • Develop skills in troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance investigation.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with team members.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience with infrastructure as code across both private and public clouds.
  • Product mindset, focusing on product development.
  • Python software development experience with large projects.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration systems.
  • Proven experience managing and deploying cloud infrastructure with code.
  • Knowledge of Linux networking, storage, and administration.
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering field.
  • Clear and effective communication skills in English.
