We are looking for an experienced Senior Social Media and Content Executive to support the management of the Careem UAE social media channels, including strategy, content planning, and influencer marketing, with a primary focus on TikTok. The ideal candidate is a dynamic team player with deep expertise in social media marketing. They’re experienced working cross-functionally to ideate and execute exciting and innovative social media content and initiatives that drive brand love and deliver on strategic business objectives. They will work closely with multiple departments including business verticals, functions, markets, and partners, supporting the overall social media strategy.

What you'll do
Strategy & management
- Support on social media strategy, management, and optimisation.
- Liaise with the different Careem vertical teams and marketing teams to execute social media campaigns, content calendars, and organic content ideation.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including marketing, creative, brand, digital, corporate, account managers, and others to bring Careem’s verticals and sub-brands to life through social media.
- Envision new opportunities to bring the brand to life and drive social buzz around new product launches and cultural moments.
- Keep a pulse on new and emerging trends and platforms; testing, learning, and experimenting in ways that feel authentic to the brand.
- Monitor, measure, and analyse the effectiveness of initiatives; make recommendations to optimise performance; communicate wins across the organisation.
Content
- Identify and analyze relevant content trends across Instagram and TikTok.
- Ideate creative ways to localize and bring trends to life for Careem’s brand and services.
- Plan and execute proactive content calendars aligned with upcoming campaigns and cultural moments.
- Optimize content performance through data-driven insights and experimentation.
- Stay up to date with platform algorithm changes and emerging content formats to inform strategy.
Creator Management
- Be familiar with the TikTok creator landscape.
- Collaborate with teams to maximize influencer impact across campaigns on TikTok.
- Vet creator profiles for campaigns.
- Support in reviewing creator content for campaigns and always on.
What you'll need
- 3-5 years of experience in social media.
- Strong knowledge of social creative trends.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strategic and operational knowledge of social channel management, especially TikTok.
- Strong creative thinker who can ideate around an existing concept and develop stories relevant to our audience.
- Thought leadership around emerging social channels.
- Experience with social listening tools & KPI reporting.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proactive with a positive attitude.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Fluent in English. Arabic is a big plus.
