About The Role:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Mozn, you will work on nationally significant problems. You will have the unique opportunity to build systems from the ground up at a massive scale, impacting the lives of millions of citizens. Our team includes top talent from renowned institutions such as MIT, Stanford, Google, Expedia, McKinsey, and J.P. Morgan.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of relevant business areas and various system components.
- Take ownership of and architect business-critical services.
- Strive for continuous self-improvement and team growth.
- Participate in a DevOps/agile team covering the full project lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and support.
- Design and develop REST APIs for internal and external use.
- Develop and maintain full-stack application code.
- Create unit tests for a continuous integration environment.
- Implement best practices for coding and development processes.
- Collaborate effectively with Project Management, Product Management, and other team members.
Qualifications:
- MSc/BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role is preferred; professional certifications are a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions to end users.
- Solid experience with Python and C programming languages.
- Familiarity with software revision control tools such as Git.
- Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles.
- Experience with integrating data from multiple sources and SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB).
- Ability to work in a large interdisciplinary team to model complex engineering problems within an optimization framework.
