You will work on high-performance, multi-threaded, resilient systems, collaborate across teams, and provide technical leadership to drive engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- IaaS Microservices Development: Design and develop scalable backend services for core IaaS domains, including Compute (Nova), Networking (Neutron), and Storage (Cinder).
- OpenStack API Integration: Implement robust, type-safe integrations with OpenStack services using Spring Cloud OpenFeign and REST/HTTPS clients.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize latency, memory usage, and thread management in high-throughput systems.
- Security Best Practices: Enforce secure coding, data encryption, and identity management standards via Spring Security and Keystone.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, containerization, and Kubernetes deployments.
- Backend Architecture: Build distributed systems using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x, ensuring high availability and resilience.
- API Design & Documentation: Maintain RESTful APIs with clean OpenAPI/Swagger documentation and efficient pagination.
- Data Modeling: Design efficient schemas in PostgreSQL and optimize high-performance queries.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead development of comprehensive test suites to simulate real-world infrastructure scenarios.
- Technical Leadership: Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices in build management.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- 7+ years of backend development experience with mastery of Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x.
- Expertise in Spring Security, RESTful API design, and distributed system architecture.
- Hands-on experience with OpenStack (Nova, Neutron, Cinder).
- Proficiency with Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud, and Feign for service communication.
- Deep database experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Skilled in JUnit 5, Mockito, and Testcontainers for integration testing.
- Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Gradle or Maven.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience with platform-level systems or services at a hyperscaler scale (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Advanced experience with Project Reactor and WebFlux.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, language infrastructure tools.
- Knowledge of hybrid or multi-cloud architectures.
- Relevant certifications such as Java (OCP), Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), or Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA).
