Senior Software Engineer - Android

Avrioc Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Android to join our innovative team. Comera, our free messaging app, allows users to connect through one-to-one chats, voice calls, and video calls over mobile data or Wi-Fi. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.

Location: Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work on bug fixing and improve application performance.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and reliability.
• Participate in the code review process.
• Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.

Skills and Attributes:

• Familiarity with Android architecture components and MVVM architecture.
• Understanding of dependency injection frameworks and experience with Android SDK.
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles.
• Experience with Dependency Injection frameworks and Jetpack libraries.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with large-scale SQLite/Room databases.
• Proficient with Coroutines and Flow.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, learning-oriented environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Kotlin.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in designing and building advanced applications for the Android platform.
