As a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Qualcomm-based Mission Computer systems, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions for NXP-based PX4 flight controllers and Qualcomm-based mission computers. Your focus will be on optimizing solutions for reliability, safety, and performance in complex UAV operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the architecture, design, and implementation of autonomous applications on Qualcomm-based platforms, contributing to perception, sensor fusion, planning, and navigation for UxV systems.
  • Define the technical direction and oversee the development of ROS2-based nodes and middleware frameworks.
  • Drive optimization strategies for GPU and DSP-accelerated AI/ML workloads, ensuring real-time inference and deterministic decision-making.
  • Implement secure communication bridges between the autonomy stack, flight controller, and ground systems.
  • Architect end-to-end security frameworks for UxV platforms, including implementing identity management and access control.
  • Engage in system integration, middleware development, and conduct threat modeling and vulnerability assessments.

Necessary Knowledge and Experience:

  • 8+ years in robotics, autonomous systems, or safety-critical UxV platform development, particularly in defense or aerospace.
  • Proficiency in real-time embedded systems and Python.
  • Strong experience with ROS2, MAVLink, and Qualcomm SoC platform bring-up.
  • Familiar with embedded cybersecurity measures and security frameworks, including ISO 27001 and DO-326A.
  • Must possess strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate under pressure.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • MSc preferred / BSc (minimum) in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript for front-end interfaces and control dashboards.
