As an experienced Senior Software Engineer in the Support organization aligned with the client team, you will work in a collaborative team environment to provide functional and technical expertise to our clients. You will prioritize, plan, and deliver solution-specific requests and projects both independently and with your team in a fast-paced setting.
What You Will Do
- Use your technical and Cerner Command Language (CCL) skills to investigate scripts and the functionalities impacted.
- Create new scripts/programs, gather requirements, design, and deploy reports and tools/utilities.
- Support custom MPages for the client.
- Develop and maintain complex CCL scripts and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to CCL.
- Drive client-specific solution configuration design to meet workflow requirements.
- Lead client meetings and events and drive internal team initiatives.
Your goal is to provide tangible and measurable value outcomes that improve care delivery.
Work Conditions
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations.
- Willing to work from client site as required (10 - 20%).
- Follow corporate and organizational security policies and procedures.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Healthcare or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 9+ years of experience with a strong understanding of CCL (Cerner Command Language), integrated solution modules, Java Scripting, and HTML.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with other scripting languages.
- Experience with Oracle Health Millennium.
- Knowledge of CCL and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Background in Support or Application Managed Services organization.
