As part of the Workplace Engineering team, you will specialize in web architecture and analytics. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering web-based systems and SaaS
- Providing insights into the Canonical workplace experience
- Enabling new processes and improving existing workflows
- Collaborating proactively with a distributed team
- Writing high-quality code to create new features and debug existing issues
- Conducting code reviews
- Estimating work, setting goals, and pushing projects to completion
- Mentoring more junior team members
To succeed in this role, you should be an expert in two or more of the following areas:
- Backend web service programming in Python and Node.js
- Solid understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Data analytics and statistical analysis
- Natural language processing, sentiment analysis, and machine learning
- Data visualization
