As part of the Workplace Engineering team, you will be responsible for web architecture and analytics. This includes designing and delivering web-based systems and SaaS, providing insights to enhance the Canonical workplace experience, enabling new processes, and improving workflows. Your tasks will involve:
- Collaborating with a distributed team to produce high-quality code for new features and to debug and fix issues.
- Conducting code reviews and coaching junior team members.
- Connecting to various data sources for analytical visualizations.
- Engaging in database design and architecture for connected systems.
- Developing and implementing optimized working practices.
You should be an expert in two or more of the following areas:
- Backend web service programming in Python and Node.js
- Understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Data analytics and statistical analysis
- Natural language processing, sentiment analysis, and machine learning
- Data visualization
You should possess a data-driven mindset, demonstrating leadership, excellence, and consistency, while providing mentorship within the team.
