Key Responsibilities
- Portal Development: Develop and maintain Next.js e-services, which include application forms, document uploads, request tracking, payment processing, and customer account functions.
- Website and CMS: Develop features for React/Next.js websites and configure Strapi content types, components, permissions, publishing workflows, and API integration.
- Backend Development: Develop and maintain Node.js services and middleware that include business validation, authentication, error handling, and API orchestration.
- Enterprise Integration: Connect digital channels to systems like Dynamics 365, Dataverse, payment services, and government APIs in collaboration with the integration engineer.
- Localization and Accessibility: Deliver interfaces in Arabic and English, including right-to-left (RTL) layouts, responsive designs, and accessible user journeys.
- Quality and Security: Conduct code reviews, implement automated component and API tests, and resolve defects, performance issues, and application vulnerabilities.
- Production Support: Investigate incidents, execute corrective changes, and coordinate deployments with QA and Cloud/DevOps teams.
- Documentation and Handover: Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer, including backup coverage for mobile and backend services.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on enterprise or government digital services.
- Frontend: At least 3 years of hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js, specifically in production e-services portals.
- Backend: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Node.js development and REST API integration.
- CMS: Practical experience with Strapi or a comparable headless CMS, including content modeling, permissions, and deployment procedures.
- Mobile: At least 2 years of experience with React Native to facilitate cross-channel development and backup coverage.
- Database: Strong knowledge of SQL Server and practical experience integrating with Dataverse and Dynamics 365.
- Security: Familiarity with secure authentication, authorization, input validation, file-upload protection, and secrets handling.
- Delivery: Hands-on experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Localization: Proven experience in delivering bilingual Arabic/English solutions and RTL interfaces.
- Collaboration: Ability to independently own assigned applications while effectively coordinating with business departments, vendors, and technical teams.
