Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Decisions: Lead the application design and evolution of scalable services while ensuring architecture supports real-time fleet synchronization.
- System Optimization: Drive the technical roadmap for real-time data engineering, focusing on high-frequency data ingestion and implementing solutions for sub-second latency.
- Technical Stewardship: Define standards for platform security, performance, and observability, ensuring operational integrity.
- Engineering Culture & Mentorship: Shape a high-performance culture by mentoring and leading code reviews.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with product teams to translate high-level business objectives into executable technical strategies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 6+ years in software engineering with a track record of delivering complex, large-scale systems in a SaaS startup environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Technical Mastery: Proficient in at least one modern programming language such as TypeScript, Java, or Python, with a strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable API design.
- Data & Infrastructure Expertise: Command of SQL and experience architecting low-latency communication systems.
- Operational Excellence: Proven ability in diagnosing systemic issues and implementing preventative measures.
