As a Senior Software Engineer at Thales, you will engage in solution definition and development while working closely with stakeholders including the TopSky Flow Manager’s Solution Owner, the Solution Architect, and the Proxy PO for the UAE squad. Your responsibilities will include transforming business needs into technical requirements, estimating project timelines, and collaborating with a team of software engineers to enhance product solutions.
In this Agile environment, you will be part of a Scrum team, ensuring that project deliverables align with the definition of done. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing scope and schedule to deliver high-quality outputs per customer requirements.
- Overseeing project deliverables to meet essential criteria such as security, safety, and export control standards.
- Acting as the primary technical contact for customers on all technical matters.
- Documenting project planning, requirements, and testing while actively participating in design and development decisions.
- Communicating effectively and professionally with internal teams, external customers, and consultants.
About You
You align with Agile and Digital culture values, possessing significant experience with Agile methodology, and are comfortable in product development. Your qualifications include:
- A Master’s degree from an Engineering school and at least 6 years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes technologies for a minimum of 4 years.
- Strong web protocols knowledge, with experience in RESTful web services and Air Traffic Management systems.
- Understanding of cloud-native architecture, DevOps implications, and a solid grasp of SaaS models.
- Proficiency in Full Stack or specific programming languages and frameworks, particularly Java/Spring Boot and React/Typescript.
- Familiarity with continuous integration processes, IS Computing Platforms, and Operating Systems.
Additionally, you have analytical thinking skills, creativity, and the ability to communicate business and solution needs effectively. A commitment to outcomes to maximize the value for business solutions is essential. Experience with architecture skills, API management, and user-centric design would be advantageous.
